about

South London is a hotbed for Dubstep, Grime and gritty Urban music and while Kerogen’s previous tracks have been compared to the likes of Burial he also champions Leftfield and Electronica.

His latest epic ‘Witness’ is a radical departure from his previous singles ‘Her’, ‘Infinite Beggar’ and ‘Tomorrow’. There’s still the brooding atmospheric undertone but the beat is up tempo by comparison. Echo laden piano punctuates the grooves and the chilled vibes keep it mellow.

Here’s Kerogen’s motivation for the track:
“I made Witness knowing that I was soon going to leave London for a while, and I wanted to remember it in someway as well as express my feeling towards the choice I made of leaving it.”

Kerogen is currently recordings his debut album due for release in 2010.

The next single will be ‘Hope’ which is currently available on Echodub’s ‘Echodub Loves vol.1’ compilation.

Time Out - “A Burial for people who require just a little bit more.”

DJ Mag - "Produces music with a definite intelligent edge...Electronica, Trip Hop and Dubstep rolled into one emotional, ephemeral sound"

Kerogen’s first single ‘Tomorrow’ was championed by the likes of Nemone on BBC 6 Music and received rave reviews in magazines, websites and Dubstep forums.
